I did 15 minute intervals on San Bruno Mountain for the second time on Christmas Eve morning. I had taken James here for the same on Tues. The mountain is something of a treasure here -- it's in plain site, viewable from just about everywhere in SF, but very few people know it's name let alone visit it. There are beautiful single track dirt trails that loop around and to the top with a number of others that branch off along the ridge line and other destinations. Scattered throughout are groves of eucalyptus. Sanny and I have been heading here for morning trail runs ( it's about a 15 minute drive from the mission) and on days I need to get intervals in but don't have a commute to do them on, I use the 25 minute ride to the base as a warm up. Yesterday, however, was the first day my intervals took me to the top. I took a couple pictures because I always mean to but never do. You can see Daily City and the Pacific in the first. And San Francisco itself in the second.
I'll be in Utah for the next week. Enjoy the holiday season all!
