Welcome back, Firefox 2.0

 

I’ve spent the past couple weeks using FF3 on my win xp machine – after about the 40th crash, though, it just becomes unreasonable to try any more crash prevention fixes; enough is enough.

Buy a mac, FF3 is great on OSX. not perfect, but more efficient and fast than ever. just wait a bit for teh few fixes. it will make it soon.

I am on a mac and like you say FF3 is more crash prone than the earlier versions ( which crashed maybe twice in as many years of using it) on the otherhand FF3 has crashed well over a dozen times to my surprise, the payoff is much faster operations, and I like the changes, I do not like the crashes but I think it's still shaking out some quirks and bugs. I can easily resume where I was.
Crashes do suck!

Yah, I'm running FF 3 on my macbook and it's awesome. Sadly, my work machine is a windows box -- maybe I'll have that switched at some point.

I do love being able to resume from a crash *almost* as though it never happened. But FF 2 affords me the same on win xp -- just with more stability.

Can't wait for an updated version of 3 that will let me return.
